Rabbits are social creatures that thrive in the company of other rabbits. In the wild, they live in groups called colonies. They communicate with each other using a variety of sounds and body language. For example, they thump their hind legs to alert others of danger and use soft purring sounds to express contentment.

These creatures are prolific breeders, with a single female rabbit, known as a doe, capable of having several litters of kits (baby rabbits) each year. The gestation period for a rabbit is about 30 days, and a single litter can consist of up to eight kits.

In addition to their diet, rabbits also practice a behavior called “coprophagy,” where they consume their own feces. This may sound strange, but it’s an essential part of their digestive process, helping them extract all the nutrients from their food.
