Tiny Whistleblowers
Guinea pigs are great communicators! They make a variety of sounds like squeaks, chirps, and even purrs. It's how they talk to their guinea pig friends and to you!
Not Pigs, Not from Guinea
Despite their name, guinea pigs aren't pigs at all, and they're not from Guinea! They actually come from South America and are a type of rodent.
Snack Time All the Time
Guinea pigs love to eat! They enjoy munching on things like fresh vegetables, hay, and special guinea pig pellets. Eating helps keep their teeth healthy and strong.
Big Families
Female guinea pigs, called sows, can have lots of babies in a single litter, sometimes as many as four! Baby guinea pigs are called pups, and they're born with their eyes open and ready to explore.

Pygmy Goats are a small domestic breed of goat growing to a height of only 18-20” high (46-50cm).
This is measured at the highest point on their back, between the shoulder blades.

Originating from the Cameroon region, in West Africa, they were first exported to zoos in Sweden and Germany where they were displayed as ‘exotic animals’.
Although a male kid can be sexually active at only a few weeks old a female needs to be atleast 18 months of age before she is allowed to ‘mate’. Her gestation period (pregnancy) lasting between 145 and 155 days.

She will normally give birth to, anything from, one to three kids who will remain dependent on her, for milk, for their first few weeks.
However, within only one week of being born they will also start to eat grains and be fully weaned (off their mothers milk)
at 3 months old. The kids can stand and feed within minutes of birth and run and jump within the first few hours.
